Optimization Models of Actuated Control Considering Vehicle Queuing for Sustainable Operation

How to sustainably conduct intersection operations is a key issue of the current research. For an actuated control intersection, queued vehicles, parameters, and phase schemes all affect operation effect. This paper discusses vehicles at intersections their influence on signal timing. First, this establishes improved traffic wave model proposes vehicle queuing basis. Second, by analyzing dispersion process minimal green time calculation proposed. Then, maximal aiming minimizing average delay maximizing capacity under different schemes, considers vehicles. Lastly, models are verified separately; results show that error was 4.18%, optimization rate 9.27%. It proved achieved great accuracy effects, which could potentially improve sustainability.
